Selfless

I knew what was best for us, so we wouldn't be so alone, I knew that it would be perfect, I was happy to find a new home.

I went a million miles for you, just to show how much I cared. I knew it was the right thing to do, I knew I would have been prepared.

As the months flew by, and the days began to get long, I sat silently looking at the four walls around me, I kept reassuring myself that there was nothing wrong.

I went out of my way, just to try and make it work out, I had no family or friends around me, so I started to have doubts.

When I approached you, you didn't want to understand. I was afraid to mention anything, incase you got off hand.

I didn't want to fight, so I said that I would leave. I begged you to come with me, but you chose not to and continued to be naive.

I thought I knew what was best for us, I thought I was more prepared, I thought it would have been perfect, but in the end I found myself to be undeclared.

I wish that you could be selfless, just like I have been for you. Why must love hurt so much? I thought it was the right thing to do..
